What counts as a charged estate planning matter?

You are only charged for a genuine client matter that has progressed to the stage where your firm is ready to provide a legal fee quote. Test, training, duplicate and incomplete matters are not charged.

When is the PAYG matter fee charged?

The $175 plus GST PAYG fee is charged when your firm accepts the matter and proceeds to the quote stage. You are not charged when a referral is first received or while the client’s information remains incomplete.

What is included with PAYG?

PAYG has no monthly subscription fee and includes three business users, referral partner access, the estate planning workflow, the EPOA workflow and email support. You pay $175 plus GST for each accepted estate planning matter.

What is included in the Practice package?

Accepted Answer

The Practice package starts at $350 plus GST per month and includes three accepted matters per month. It also includes unlimited business users, client-led estate planning, client Life Vault access, Marketplace access and training.

What happens if we exceed the matters included in our Practice package?

Accepted Answer

Your team can continue accepting matters without interruption. Additional accepted matters are charged at $175 plus GST per matter unless a different volume rate has been agreed with Inherit.

Do we pay for referral partner accounts?

Accepted Answer

No. You can invite financial advisers, accountants and other referral partners to use your firm’s estate planning pathway. Pricing is based on accepted estate planning matters, not the number of referral partners connected to your firm.

Are our legal fees included in the Inherit price?

Accepted Answer

No. Inherit’s fees cover use of the platform and estate planning workflow. Your firm determines its own legal fees, provides the quote to the client and invoices the client separately for legal advice and document preparation.

Can our firm set its own legal fees?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your firm remains responsible for determining the scope of the legal work, setting the legal fee, issuing the client’s fee disclosure and providing the legal advice.

Can we use our own estate planning precedents?

Precedent configuration and integration can be arranged for law firms that want to generate documents using their own approved precedents. The cost and implementation requirements depend on the package and the complexity of the precedent set.

What is Marketplace access?

Marketplace access allows eligible firms to be considered for suitable estate planning matters made available through Inherit. Contact us to discuss eligibility, service areas and how matters are allocated.

Can we start with PAYG and move to a Practice package later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Many firms begin with PAYG while testing the workflow and move to a Practice package when their regular matter volume makes a subscription more suitable. Larger firms and groups can request a tailored Custom package.

What is included in a Custom package?

Accepted Answer

Custom packages can include volume-based pricing, multiple practices, group administration, system integrations, tailored onboarding and dedicated support. The package is structured around your firm’s size, matter volume and implementation requirements.

Are EPOA matters included?

Accepted Answer

Access to the EPOA workflow is included with the applicable package. Separate document or matter fees may apply depending on the service selected. Any applicable fee is shown or agreed before your firm proceeds.

Are prices inclusive of GST?

No. All prices are in Australian dollars and exclude GST.

Are there any setup or integration fees?

Standard access is covered by your selected package. Additional services such as custom branding, precedent configuration, data migration or system integration may be quoted separately. Any additional cost will be agreed before work begins.
